Windows Communication manager, Brandon LeBlanc, wrote on the Official Windows Team Blog about the Windows 7 RTM availability.
He also reminded that today Volume License customers with an existing Software Assurance license would be able to download Windows 7 RTM in English and in a few weeks the remaining languages would be available to the subscribers for download.

Windows 7 appears to have a bug according to various Web sources. Windows 7 RTM build 7600.16385 has a fatal bug that causes the OS to crush and show the “Blue Screen of Death”
The problem involves chkdsk.exe, when used for secondary portion (non boot partition) and the problem comes from a memory leak which causes the system to run out of operating memory. On faster computers with more memory it only causes them to slow down and restart may be required but for older machines this results in blue error screen.
It is up to MS to decide how would they go about this problem.
